South africa

South Africa is undoubtedly the favorite hunting destination for most first time hunters to Africa. This is mainly due to the wide variety of plains-game that is on offer throughout South Africa. With its varied topography and climate, South Africa provides varied hunting conditions which will test the hunter's skill and offer different challenges from one concession to the next.

The private properties and lodge atmosphere is appealing to both the serious hunters as well as vacationing families. Accommodation varies from 5-star lodges to tented camps and all our accommodation meets with our high standards. Rooms are all en-suite. Activities for the non-hunter, or observer, are also catered for at all the camps and concessions. Plains-game safaris are affordable and the ease of logistics and modern day conveniences make South Africa a prime destination for many first time safari hunters and experienced African sportsmen alike.

Hunting season - Trophy hunting is carried out throughout the year, but due to the summer heat and rains, most hunting is conducted between March and October, with June, July and August being the most popular months. South Africa is also a malaria and Tsetse free zone.

We will handle all aspects of your safari, the first step is calling on us to discuss your hunt. We will cover all the options available and the situation that best suits your needs. An individual quote will follow with booking instructions. Travel arrangements will be made with our assistance after booking your safari.

Due to the gun import laws in South Africa we would recommend you make use of a meet and greet service. They provide hunters with a comprehensive range of services that will ensure a smooth arrival in South Africa, i,e. arrangement of firearm import permits at O.R.Tambo Airport, Johannesburg. Please contact us for a list of companies we recommend. Your travel documents should include: passport, all firearm documentation, customs 4457 form, airline itinerary as well as shipping instructions for your trophies from your taxidermist. Ensure that you have an additional copy of the customs 4457 form and your passport. Put another copy of all firearm documentation and copy of passport in your gun case where they are easily accessible should these documents be required by airport officials. Naturally your ammunition will also have to be in a separate locked case in your check in bag.

We also offer special packages for bird hunters wishing to do some specialized wing-shooting, or we can add this on to any of our normal plains-game and big game hunting safaris.

Eco-Tourism / Photographic safaris

Please note that we also offer a wide range of Photographic safaris in South-Africa from the Kruger National park, to Cape-town to the cape wine-lands. We can also incorporate a trip to the famed Victoria falls, or Hwange National park in Zimbabwe in conjunction with any of the mentioned destinations.
